The Mobile Site Vehicle Specialist role plays a vital part in supporting Care Access’s decentralized operations and ongoing educational programs. This position provides indispensable assistance to field operations teams and ensures the smooth execution of clinical studies and events through logistical and technical support. The Specialist will collaborate closely with diverse teams including Fleet, Human Resources, Integrated Clinical, and Decentralized Clinical units, among others. Their responsibilities will span managing inventory, coordinating supply transportation, optimizing vehicle organization, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to asset management reporting. With a focus on establishing and evolving a comprehensive knowledge base, the Mobile Site Vehicle Specialist is integral to supporting Care Access’s expanding delivery network. This role demands a blend of logistical acumen, mechanical aptitude, and flexibility, as it requires extensive travel and work during weekends or holidays as operational needs dictate. The Specialist’s work is pivotal to enabling decentralized clinical research and healthcare service delivery, thereby helping Care Access sustain its mission of enhancing health access globally. For full-time employees, the expected pay range is $24.00 to $38.00 per hour, reflecting the critical nature and skill level required for the position. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in healthcare or operations
  • Current driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner
  • Ability to drive trucks over long distances for several days
  • Technical knowledge base including operational understanding of equipment, tools, and basic assembly
  • Mechanically or technically inclined to troubleshoot basic vehicle issues
  • Preferred commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Preferred professional truck driving experience without violations
  • Preferred over-the-road (OTR) driving experience

Job Duties

  • Provide crucial support to decentralized operations, events, and clinical studies through effective field operations and event coordination
  • Handle, transport, and manage various supplies including operational, clinical, and fleet-based items at internal facilities and decentralized events
  • Load, unload, and manage inventory including oversized, bulky, and heavy items ensuring proper handling and organization
  • Demonstrate mechanical or technical aptitude to troubleshoot basic vehicle issues and proactively resolve technical problems
  • Compile and generate reports to manage and account for various business assets such as financials, equipment, inventory, and staff
  • Organize vehicle interiors in a practical and consistent manner to enhance usability and functionality
  • Utilize Excel, web-based applications, and inventory management tools proficiently to support operational activities
  • Be available to work extended time periods on the road, including weekends and holidays, and stay in hotels as necessary for operational demands
