We are currently hiring a Resort Manager for our Jacksonville, Florida location. This is a pivotal role overseeing the daily operations of the resort, where the wellbeing of our pet guests and the satisfaction of their owners are the highest priorities. The Resort Manager will lead a dedicated team, ensuring exceptional customer service, operating compliance, and financial performance. This leadership position requires a hands-on manager capable of multitasking across staffing, training, scheduling, and customer engagement. The role demands mobility, the ability to work onsite five days a week including weekends and holidays, and flexibility with shifting schedules based on business needs. Candidates should be comfortable managing a team of 20 to 30 employees, while maintaining standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence.

The Resort Manager will actively engage with all levels of the company, communicating with corporate and regional teams as well as partnering with maintenance to address facility needs. They will be responsible for managing labor costs, overseeing inventory control, and leveraging financial reports to maintain profitability. Strong organizational skills and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment are essential. This role also involves direct customer interaction to address concerns and build loyalty. Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of management experience

Job Duties

  • Leading the resort team by maintaining standards of conduct, cleanliness, and safety
  • managing resort staffing including schedule creation, staffing adjustments, labor budgets, and payroll submission
  • evaluating staffing needs, interviewing candidates, and overseeing hiring and terminations
  • training and coaching team members according to company policies and promoting collaboration
  • recognizing and developing talented team members for growth
  • maintaining communication with resort, regional, and corporate teams and partnering with maintenance
  • ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and reporting protocols
  • maintaining excellent customer service metrics and handling customer escalations
  • using financial tools to analyze sales and performance trends
  • managing labor and resort costs including supply inventory
  • handling customer communications before and after reservations
  • organizing back-of-house and front-of-house policies and procedures
  • assisting team members with training and development
  • preparing and delivering annual performance reviews
  • managing communications from various channels
  • maintaining on-site presence with a five-day workweek including weekends and holidays
