Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year work experience as a paramedic or new paramedics with at least 1 year EMT experience in public health or health-related fields
- Current unrestricted Paramedic VA state license
- Possession and maintenance of valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Must live and/or work in Richmond, VA market
- Community paramedic certification preferred
- Experience in telemedicine or virtual care
- Experience with geriatric patients preferred
- Basic Life Support certification required within first 90 days
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred
Job Qualifications

- Community paramedic certification preferred
- Experience in telemedicine or virtual care delivery preferred
- Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English
- Bilingual Spanish desired
Job Duties
- Conducts one-on-one advanced in-home health assessments with senior patients under provider guidance
- Communicates health updates with provider and virtual care team
- Prepares patients for virtual examinations and assists provider with exams
- Administers medications including IM and IV, changes dressings, applies bandages, removes sutures, performs CPR
- Performs non-critical medical and therapeutic procedures, collects lab specimens, performs basic lab tests
- Coordinates emergency care with EMS and emergency department personnel
- Creates and records detailed clinical documentation for each patient
- Maintains home visit supplies and equipment, practices OSHA safety standards
- Administers EMT/Paramedic level patient care in emergency situations as per Florida statutes
- Reports cases of neglect or abuse to protective services and law enforcement
- Educates seniors on aging, disability resources and social services
- Performs other duties as assigned
