This role is designed to provide both hands-on experience and professional growth opportunities through onsite training and career progression paths.\n\nAs a Packaging Technician at Iron Heart, you will handle the transportation, setup, and takedown of heavy canning equipment, ensuring every aspect complies with Iron Heart’s stringent standards. The job emphasizes safety and efficiency as you will be working with machinery that requires technical knowledge as well as physical stamina, including lifting pallets weighing up to 150 pounds and pushing canning lines that weigh as much as 800 pounds on wheels. You will also be responsible for daily maintenance tasks such as machinery repair and quality checks to maintain operational excellence. An essential part of the role is to foster professional communication with customers and collaborate closely with fellow technicians and brewery staff to ensure smooth jobsite operations.\n\nCareer development is a significant component of working at Iron Heart. Packaging Technicians are encouraged to continually enhance their skills and knowledge through a structured progression system with clearly defined exams and incentives. Advancement opportunities include passing the onboarding exam, progressing through the Tech II and Advanced exams, and ultimately reaching the Pro Tech level, each offering financial incentives and additional responsibilities. Iron Heart values motivated employees who take pride in their work and actively seek to grow within the company.\n\nThe role requires an understanding of mechanical systems, multitasking ability, strong communication skills, and a flexible schedule due to varying weekly assignments and potential overnight stays based on client brewery schedules. Physical resilience and a hardworking attitude are crucial, as is a positive approach to learning and professional growth. For those with an interest or background in craft beverages, home brewing, or brewery experience, this position offers a unique blend of technical responsibility and industry passion.
