The Mobile Mammography Coordinator role is a highly rewarding position within this thriving healthcare system, offering candidates the opportunity to contribute to the clinic's mobile mammography program. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency and quality compliance of the mobile mammography services, which are critical in providing accessible breast cancer screening and diagnostic services throughout Houston. The coordinator is responsible for managing the maintenance and accreditation of mobile units, coordinating with multiple departments to optimize the use of resources, and serving as a liaison for mobile mammography events across various locations.

This role requires a flexible schedule, including potential weekend hours, as it combines administrative oversight with hands-on responsibilities. The Mobile Mammography Coordinator not only oversees program compliance and inspection but also functions as a trained Mammography Technologist and Mobile Coach Driver when needed. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology school
  • ARRT (R)(M) certification
  • MRT-General Certificate
  • BCLS certification
  • 40 hours ARRT-approved mammography training
  • minimum 3 years experience in mammography or 2 years with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic
  • mammography quality control experience
  • knowledge of mammography quality assurance and accreditation
  • computer proficiency
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to travel within Houston
  • valid Texas Driver's License
  • insurable driving record

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
  • graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT (R)(M) certification
  • MRT-General Certificate
  • BCLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • 40 hours mammography training approved by ARRT
  • 3+ years of mammography experience or 2+ years at KSC
  • experience in mammography quality control
  • working knowledge of quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
  • proven computer keyboard skills
  • excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to travel within Houston area with mobile mammography coach
  • valid Texas Driver's License
  • insurable driving record
  • preferred associates degree in Radiologic Technology
  • experience performing stereotactic guided breast biopsies and/or DEXA
  • RIS system experience
  • bilingual skills
  • commercial driver's license

Job Duties

  • Perform diagnostic and screening mammography upon order of a qualified physician
  • participate in technical quality control measures including routine equipment maintenance and malfunction reporting
  • use RIS system correctly for data documentation and linkage of follow-up studies
  • practice radiation safety and sterile techniques as applicable
  • participate in formal and in-service training programs and maintain necessary licenses and certifications
  • interact effectively with patients and coworkers while adhering to mission and values
  • coordinate mobile travel schedules and site-specific needs with supervisors and departments
  • drive mobile mammography coach to assigned locations and perform mammograms
  • ensure vehicle maintenance and record-keeping in collaboration with Facilities Department
  • serve as primary contact for mobile coach questions, equipment maintenance, compliance, and staff training as assigned by Supervisor
