Job Description

T-Mobile USA, Inc. is a leading wireless telecommunications company known for its innovative approach and customer-centric culture. The company prides itself on being the Un-carrier, which means it continuously challenges the traditional norms of the industry to deliver unmatched value and experiences to its customers. With a strong national presence, T-Mobile offers a wide range of mobile products and services designed to keep people connected. As an employer, T-Mobile emphasizes its commitment to investing in its employees by providing a comprehensive Total Rewards Package that includes competitive salaries, stock grants, 401(k) plans, and numerous employee benefits. This approach reflects the company’s dedication to fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth. T-Mobile’s culture is rooted in inclusivity, diversity, and equal opportunity, ensuring that all employees are valued and respected regardless of background or personal characteristics.

The Mobile Associate - Store-in-Store (SiS) role at T-Mobile is a dynamic position embedded within national retail partner locations. These associates serve as brand ambassadors tasked with creating excitement and energy around the T-Mobile brand, its innovative technology, and service offerings. Operating in bustling retail environments, Mobile Associates engage actively with a diverse customer base, aiming to build meaningful connections that translate into sales success and exceptional customer satisfaction. This role is designed for individuals passionate about technology and driven to educate customers by demonstrating how T-Mobile solutions can meet their connectivity needs.

In this position, Mobile Associates leverage a mix of digital tools and interpersonal communication skills to guide customers through understanding and adopting wireless products and services. They are trained to apply solution-based selling techniques and encourage self-service capabilities using T-Mobile’s proprietary apps and platforms. The role involves continuous learning and improvement, ensuring associates remain knowledgeable of new products, promotions, and store operational processes. They also perform essential store tasks such as onboarding customers, securing kiosk assets, managing keys, and collaborating with nearby store teams to optimize the customer experience.

T-Mobile offers a starting hourly wage of $18.00 for Mobile Associates, with an additional $5.00 per hour during the training period, illustrating their investment in employee development from day one. Upon successful completion of training, associates can advance to the Mobile Expert role and become eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000, depending on performance and full-time status, with an all-inclusive pay guarantee of $20 per hour. Beyond competitive pay, employees gain access to an annual stock grant, fostering a sense of ownership and shared success in the company’s growth.

This role demands passion, friendliness, and a customer-obsessed mindset. Mobile Associates are expected to connect with customers personally, establish trust, and exceed expectations through exceptional service. They proactively pursue sales opportunities, manage referrals, and maintain follow-up communications, playing a critical role in expanding T-Mobile’s customer base. Leadership and relationship-building skills are also vital as associates collaborate with store management and support teams to deliver superior service from account setup through device support.

T-Mobile’s commitment extends beyond salary and incentives by offering a comprehensive benefits package available to full-time and part-time employees alike. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plans, paid time off, and up to 12 paid holidays annually. Additionally, employees have access to paid parental and family leave, family-building benefits, childcare subsidies, tuition assistance, short- and long-term disability coverage, and various voluntary insurance options such as accidental death and dismemberment, life insurance, and long-term care insurance. Eligible employees can also enjoy discounts on mobile services, home internet, pet insurance, and commuter programs. This diverse benefits suite highlights T-Mobile’s holistic approach to employee well-being and work-life balance.

Overall, the Mobile Associate - Store-in-Store position at T-Mobile represents an excellent opportunity for candidates who are passionate about technology, customer engagement, and career advancement. It offers a competitive compensation structure, robust benefits, and a supportive environment where employees can grow both personally and professionally within a leading telecommunications organization.
