Estancia La Jolla is a distinguished AAA Four Diamond boutique hotel located in Southern California, offering guests a luxurious escape steeped in history and elegance. The property, designed with hacienda-style architecture, features lush gardens and distinctive artwork, creating an ambiance that blends historic charm with modern comfort. With 210 casually elegant rooms and suites, Estancia La Jolla provides a welcoming and refined atmosphere that feels like a home away from home for visitors. As part of the Noble House Hotels and Resorts family, Estancia La Jolla shares the commitment to exceptional service and memorable experiences that have earned the group recognition as one of the top workplaces in San Diego and the USA from 2022 through 2026.
The role of Mixologist Assistant at Estancia La Jolla is a part-time position offering a competitive pay rate of $19.50 per hour. This opportunity is perfect for an individual passionate about crafting beverages and delivering excellent customer service within a prestigious hotel environment. The Mixologist Assistant will be entrusted with responsibilities that range from preparing a wide array of drinks—including specialty cocktails, smoothies, and non-alcoholic beverages—to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the beverage preparation areas. This role supports the overall guest experience by helping to ensure beverage quality and service is consistently top-notch.
As a Mixologist Assistant, your day-to-day duties will include following detailed recipes with precision to guarantee consistency in taste and presentation. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients by washing, chopping, juicing, and measuring fruits, herbs, and garnishes, while also maintaining proper storage to uphold freshness. Adherence to sanitation and food safety regulations is critical, as is monitoring inventory levels and managing restocking activities. This position requires a balance of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with management, team members, and guests to create an environment centered on efficiency, quality, and exceptional service.
Beyond technical skills, Estancia La Jolla values individuals who are patient, empathetic, and thrive on creating memorable experiences for guests. The ideal candidate will be a natural people connector with a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture. Estancia La Jolla is proud of its inclusive workplace that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds to share their unique perspectives and talents.
Working at Estancia La Jolla also means becoming part of an award-winning team recognized for its employee satisfaction and workplace excellence. As a member of this team, you will enjoy numerous benefits including competitive pay, health insurance, paid time off, and participation in a 401k matching program after one year of employment. Additional perks include employee discounts at affiliated hotels and restaurants, on-demand pay for early access to wages, complimentary parking, and meals. This role requires availability for AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts, reflecting the dynamic needs of a hospitality environment.
If you are looking for a part-time position that offers both professional growth and a supportive work culture, the Mixologist Assistant role at Estancia La Jolla is an excellent match. Join us to help us continue delivering unforgettable experiences in a setting that honors history while embracing modern hospitality standards.
