Currently, Boyd Gaming is seeking a skilled Beverage Specialist to join their hospitality team. This role demands thorough knowledge of mixology and the ability to create a wide variety of beverages with precision. Candidates will be expected to follow recipes and adhere to specified measured pouring portions, including appropriate garnishes, glassware, and wine service to provide guests with an exceptional experience each time. The role also requires familiarity with the operation and proper cleaning of various beverage equipment, such as frozen beverage machines, dishwashers, ice machines, and pouring guns.

The Beverage Specialist will demonstrate deep knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, daily specials, and the ability to deliver service comparable to that of the dining room staff. Responsibilities include compliance with alcohol awareness laws and enforcement procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests. Maintaining a clean and organized bar area and completing side work duties efficiently and accurately are essential aspects of this position. This role also provides the opportunity to build and craft specialty cocktails, showcasing mixology skills and showmanship.

Strong communication skills are crucial in this role, as the Beverage Specialist must be adept at describing and upselling food and beverages, enhancing guests’ drinking and dining experience. The ability to memorize and deliver scripted dialogue is also required for effective guest interaction. Additionally, the position involves handling cash settlements according to established cash handling policies and performing all other related duties as directed by supervisors or managers.
