The Lounge Mixologist position at AREA15 is a pivotal role in delivering these immersive experiences by providing exceptional beverage service in an upscale, high-energy atmosphere. This role demands a highly skilled individual who excels in crafting unique and innovative cocktails while maintaining compliance with all regulations set by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD). The ideal candidate possesses an in-depth understanding of flavor profiles, spirits, and mixology theories, enabling them to experiment and develop signature drinks that enhance the overall guest experience and drive beverage sales.

In this role, the Lounge Mixologist is not only responsible for the preparation and serving of beverages but also plays a key part in upholding AREA15’s reputation for outstanding customer service. They interact warmly and professionally with guests, ensuring every visitor enjoys a memorable visit. Their duties include setting up and maintaining the bar’s operations, managing inventory counts accurately, and adhering rigorously to health and safety standards. Additionally, the Mixologist is trained to monitor guest behavior, identify intoxication or disruptive conduct, and collaborate seamlessly with management to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a mixologist or bartender in a fast-paced, upscale environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a mixologist or bartender in a fast-paced, upscale environment
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and mixology techniques
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to beverage service

Job Duties

  • Consistently deliver exceptional service to every visitor while interacting in a professional, warm, positive, and friendly manner
  • Set up the bar for full operation, ensuring all supplies, products, and tools are fully ready for operations
  • Master recipes, craft, and serve beverages to visitors while adhering to the sequence of service
  • Handle credit transactions accurately at the point of sale system
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation in accordance with Clark County health standards
  • Provide an accurate inventory count of products prior to and at the end of every shift
  • Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring concerns to a manager's attention
  • Respond to guest concerns/complaints, resolve issues with a positive attitude and know when to escalate
  • Act as a brand advocate by providing guests with accurate information regarding venues, menus, and pricing
  • Always communicate effectively with all levels of employees and visitors
  • Participate in promotional activities by posing for pictures, wearing uniforms or designated logo apparel, and engaging in marketing efforts
  • Participate and dress up in costumes for events, movie showings, and themed parties to enhance the overall experience
  • Participate and appear in marketing, publicity, or media materials
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times
  • Practice ART! of Sales at all times
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
