Job Description

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is a family-owned, values-driven leader in the ready mix concrete industry. Founded in 1999 with a single plant in Smyrna, Tennessee, SRM Concrete has grown to operate over 600 locations nationwide. Our growth is fueled by an unwavering commitment to quality, integrity, and exceptional customer service. We take pride in not only delivering superior concrete products but also building lasting relationships with our customers, communities, and team members. As a company, we believe in serving with excellence—every load, every day—making us a trusted partner across the commercial and residential construction industries.

SRM Concrete specializes in producing and delivering ready mix concrete, a critical material used in numerous construction projects across the country. Our company culture emphasizes teamwork, respect, and doing what’s right, fostering an environment where employees are recognized and valued. We offer consistent local routes so our Mixer Operators can be home daily and enjoy a healthy work-life balance, including a guaranteed day off on Sundays. With a strong focus on safety, professional development, and employee well-being, SRM Concrete is an excellent choice for those seeking a rewarding career in the transportation and construction supply sectors.

We are currently hiring Mixer Operators, also known as Ready Mix Truck Drivers or Concrete Mixer Operators, to join our expanding team. Whether you possess a Class A or Class B CDL, your role will be essential in the safe and efficient delivery of ready mix concrete to both commercial and residential job sites. This position is not just about driving; it’s about being the face of SRM Concrete at the job site. As a Mixer Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized concrete mixer trucks, ensuring that each delivery meets quality standards and is performed with utmost professionalism.

The role demands a safety-focused, service-oriented individual who values punctuality, accuracy, and excellent customer interaction. Duties include performing thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, managing precise loading and mixing of concrete materials, and following all Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and company-specific safety protocols. Additionally, you will coordinate scheduling and routing with dispatch and plant teams, maintain accurate delivery records using company systems, and occasionally assist with general plant or yard duties.

At SRM Concrete, your contribution is valued beyond the wheel. We foster growth and advancement opportunities in a rapidly expanding company and offer competitive hourly pay with overtime eligibility, bonuses, and annual raises. We also provide exceptional benefits including low-cost medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with a weekly company match. The team-oriented culture here prides itself on supporting each other, recognizing jobs well done, and maintaining a dependable and straightforward work environment.

Joining SRM Concrete means becoming part of a company dedicated not only to building concrete structures but also to building careers and communities. If you’re ready to bring your skills, positive attitude, and commitment to safety to a company that values you as a team member and offers real career growth, this opportunity is for you. Apply today and deliver service that truly sets the industry standard.
