Job Description

Ken's Foods is a notable manufacturing company located in Lebanon, Indiana, specializing in producing beloved food products like Ken's Salad Dressing and Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce. Established with roots tracing back to a family-owned restaurant in Framingham, Massachusetts, Ken's Foods began with a small-batch Italian dressing made from a homemade recipe that quickly grew in popularity. Today, the company operates a fully integrated production facility where every step from recipe creation, product manufacturing, packaging, to shipping is handled in-house. This integrated approach not only allows Ken's Foods to maintain strict controls over quality and production but also contributes to its reputation as a trusted brand found in kitchens and restaurants nationwide.

Ken's Foods is known for its commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, ownership, and performance—the core values that guide its operations and employee culture. With a vibrant work environment blending a strong work ethic with fun, they encourage a balance of working hard and playing hard. The company offers opportunities for individuals seeking careers in production within the food manufacturing industry, emphasizing respect, integrity, and continuous improvement.

The Processing Operator position, specifically for the 2nd shift from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM Monday through Friday, is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in joining Ken's Foods. Starting pay is $24.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, with employees being paid weekly. The role is designed for those who appreciate a social, team-oriented atmosphere at work and enjoy hands-on roles involving process equipment with varying levels of automation. This is a production-focused career path where one prepares quality products efficiently for packaging lines, ensuring that food safety and quality standards are strictly followed.

In this role, you will engage in tasks such as following process control instructions, working with detailed recipes, and maintaining product quality by using correct raw materials. The job also entails rigorous adherence to sanitation practices under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), monitoring food safety protocols, and coordinating with production teams to facilitate smooth transitions to packaging. The position includes preparing raw materials, assisting with cleaning and inventory maintenance of storage areas, and optionally operating fork trucks for raw material retrieval (with a valid license).

Ken's Foods values employees who are attentive to safety, demonstrating constant alertness to maintain a contamination-free environment, and are capable of physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. The company fosters a supportive culture, investing in employee well-being through comprehensive benefits like medical, vision, and dental insurance; a fully company-matched 401(k) plan; tuition reimbursement; paid holidays and vacation; and more.

Joining Ken's Foods means becoming part of a dedicated team that takes pride in delivering exceptional products loved by customers year-round. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their careers in a stable company with a commitment to quality and a dynamic workplace atmosphere. If you have a fondness for food and wish to contribute to a flourishing business with tradition and innovation, Ken's Foods welcomes you to apply and become a vital part of their flavorful legacy.
