We are currently hiring Ready-Mix Drivers for our Colorado Springs Plant located at 2650 Delta Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80190. This full-time, permanent, field-based position plays a critical role in supporting BURNCO's mission by ensuring that concrete deliveries are made safely, accurately, and on time. As a Ready-Mix Driver, you will be responsible for operating a ready-mix truck within a time-sensitive environment, delivering concrete mix to various construction sites while maintaining the highest safety standards. The role demands a strong safety-first mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service. Drivers are expected to perform daily vehicle maintenance checks, maintain equipment cleanliness, comply with company policies and local regulations, and accurately complete required paperwork such as pre-trip and post-trip inspections. This role also involves contributing to maintaining a safe and hazard-free work environment at the plant and job sites, and cross-training in other operational areas as needed.

This position requires excellent driving skills, knowledge of ready-mix concrete properties, and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of ready-mix experience or one year of commercial driving experience, hold a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), and be willing to work irregular hours including scheduled Saturdays. The role includes frequent outdoor work under various weather conditions and requires the use of personal protective equipment at all times. The salary for this position starts at $25 per hour and can increase with experience. Job Duties

  • Safely operate a ready-mix truck, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate order fulfillment
  • perform daily maintenance checks and maintain truck cleanliness inside and out
  • promptly report any minor mechanical issues or maintenance needs
  • help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment around the plant and job sites
  • follow all BURNCO policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT and company driving standards
  • complete required paperwork such as pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs) and work orders accurately and on time
  • communicate and escalate any operational or safety concerns to the supervisor
  • crosstrain in other areas as needed to support team operations
  • perform related duties as assigned
