We are currently hiring Ready-Mix Drivers at our plant located in Aledo, Texas. This full-time, permanent field-based position involves operating ready-mix concrete trucks to deliver high-quality concrete to various construction sites on time and safely. The Ready-Mix Driver role is crucial in maintaining BURNCO's reputation for delivering reliable service, timely orders, and promoting a robust safety culture. Candidates with commercial driving experience, a valid Commercial Driver’s License, a strong focus on safe driving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment will find this opportunity rewarding.
As a Ready-Mix Driver at BURNCO, you will be responsible for the safe operation of the ready-mix truck, ensuring concrete deliveries meet exacting standards of quality and timeliness. Your role will include performing routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, maintaining cleanliness inside and out, and promptly addressing minor mechanical issues to avoid downtime. You will work closely within a team setting, maintaining a safe and organized work environment around the plant and job locations. Operating in compliance with all BURNCO policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations including Department of Transportation (DOT) standards, is essential.
The position requires attention to detail for completing documentation such as pre-trip and post-trip inspections (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) and relevant work orders accurately and on schedule. Effective communication with supervisors regarding operational or safety-related concerns is vital. Candidates should be adaptable, with a willingness to cross-train in other areas to support team operations as needed. This role demands the physical capacity to handle job duties involving outdoor work in various weather conditions, safe handling of equipment, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job Requirements
- Must be 21+ years old
- Two years of ready-mix experience or one year of commercial driving experience
- Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Consistent reliable attendance with flexibility to work irregular hours including scheduled Saturdays
- Willingness to work from other BURNCO plants as needed to support business demands
- Demonstrates calm professional behavior in high-pressure or frustrating situations
- Active FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Successful completion of PSP MVR background check pre-employment drug test and DOT physical assessment prior to hire
- Ability to stand walk sit climb bend reach lift or carry up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment including safety shoes vests glasses ear plugs and hard hats
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21+ years old
- Two years of ready-mix experience or one year of commercial driving experience
- Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Demonstrates calm professional behavior in high-pressure or frustrating situations
- Ability to learn and apply various ready-mix designs and material components including admixtures slump water ratios and concrete properties and consistencies
- Clear commitment to safety customer service and teamwork in all aspects of the job
- Active FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Safely operate a ready-mix truck ensuring timely deliveries and accurate order fulfillment
- Perform daily maintenance checks and maintain truck cleanliness inside and out
- Promptly report any minor mechanical issues or maintenance needs
- Help maintain a clean organized and hazard-free environment around the plant and job sites
- Follow all BURNCO policies as well as local state and federal regulations including DOT and company driving standards
- Complete required paperwork such as pre-trip and post-trip inspections and work orders accurately and on time
- Communicate and escalate any operational or safety concerns to the supervisor
