Job Description

KDC is a leading network of top-tier custom formulators and manufacturers specializing in a diverse range of products including color cosmetics, skincare, haircare, bath and body, fragrance, deodorant, home, health, industrial, and auto care products. Headquartered in Longueuil, Québec, KDC operates ten facilities across North America and employs nearly 4,800 skilled professionals dedicated to delivering innovation, operational excellence, and rapid speed to market. The company serves a mix of well-known and emerging beauty, personal care, and specialty brands from coast to coast, making it a prominent player in the formulation and manufacturing industry.

KDC is currently seeking a full-time Compounder (Mixing and Batching) for its kdc/one Columbus location, offering a starting pay range of $20-$23 per hour. This role is essential to the manufacturing process, as compounders blend ingredients and fine-tune formulas to produce bulk products that power some of the top beauty and personal care brands. The Compounder position is based at the New Albany facility located at Beech Road and 161, where a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment awaits.

As a Compounder at kdc/one, you will be responsible for the precise staging and measuring of raw materials to create quality batches of bulk products. Operating batching tanks, mixers, and equipment according to exact specifications is a key part of your daily tasks. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, as conducting visual quality checks and reporting any anomalies is critical to maintaining product standards. Additionally, you will be tasked with cleaning and sanitizing equipment to ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.

Part of the role involves collecting in-process samples for lab testing and making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality. Documentation is a crucial element of the position, using the SAP system to keep inventory accurate and up-to-date. Collaborating with maintenance teams to support equipment calibration and upkeep also forms part of the day-to-day responsibilities. This position demands the ability to work safely in a wet and chemical-friendly environment while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in mathematics and reading, reflected by a high school diploma or GED, and ideally bring experience in compounding, pre-weighing, or processing. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential for success. The job requires physical stamina to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for extended periods, as well as comfort working with hot water, industrial cleaners, and equipment.

Joining kdc/one Columbus means becoming part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence and innovation in the personal care industry. This role offers not only a competitive starting wage but also the opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to products that consumers use every day. KDC-ONE is committed to equal opportunity employment and maintains a work environment free from discrimination. Employment is at-will and contingent upon successful completion of drug and alcohol testing. If you are ready to mix the magic that powers leading brands, apply today and start your career at kdc/one.
