Job Description

Ventura Foods is a leading manufacturer of innovative food solutions, catering to foodservice and retail businesses across the globe. Renowned for creating exclusive products for some of the world’s most iconic restaurants and retailers, Ventura Foods specializes in delivering ready-to-go product solutions tailored for professional kitchens and producing consumer brands that are widely recognized and loved. With a rich history of commitment to quality and innovation, Ventura Foods continues to push the boundaries in food manufacturing, providing excellent products and services that meet the highest standards in taste, safety, and consistency.

The company prides itself on fostering a supportive and growth-oriented work environment, where employee development is a priority. Ventura Foods emphasizes training, safety, and recognition, offering a workplace culture that celebrates success, encourages professional growth, and invests in the career advancement of its team members. Employees benefit from a strong support system, including manager mentorship, on-the-job training, and opportunities for upward mobility within the organization.

This particular role is an hourly, onsite position working the second shift, ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. As a Mixer, the key responsibility is to blend various dry, wet, and refrigerated ingredients meticulously to produce finished products that adhere strictly to predefined formula specifications. The blend must meet both taste and appearance standards required by the customer, ensuring high-quality output every time.

In this position, attention to detail is critical as the Mixer follows batch sheets without deviation unless approved adjustments are necessary and properly documented. The role involves pre-shift preparation, including sanitizing all surfaces and utensils that come into contact with products, ensuring compliance with stringent food safety policies such as SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The Mixer is responsible for monitoring equipment, gauges, and temperatures, recording batch data precisely, and collaborating closely with spicers, Quality Assurance personnel, and machine operators to ensure seamless production flow.

The Mixer also plays a pivotal role in verifying production numbers, managing rework processes, and completing all paperwork associated with the production shift, including batch adjustment forms and production schedules. Post-operation duties include housekeeping and properly handing off responsibilities to the sanitation crew or the next shift to maintain continuous operational efficiency. This position requires physical stamina, as routine tasks may involve intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.

Ventura Foods offers employees a dynamic and challenging work environment with career growth opportunities, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes retirement savings options, employee appreciation events, and assistance programs. Joining Ventura Foods means becoming part of a team committed to excellence, diversity, and inclusion, where every employee is valued and respected regardless of race, color, religion, gender, or any other characteristic protected by law.
