Mixed Delivery Coordinator (Child Care Specialist III)

The position available is a pivotal grant-funded role responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Virginia Ready Region Mixed Delivery Grant across the Capital Area, including Fairfax County, the City of Alexandria, Arlington County, the City of Falls Church, and the City of Fairfax. This role ensures that early childhood centers and family childcare programs meet stringent grant requirements and facilitates the enrollment processes and verification of eligible children participating in the program. The successful candidate will be tasked with ongoing monitoring and technical oversight to guarantee full child enrollment, timely completion of the Virginia Kindergarten Readiness Program (VKRP) child assessment, diligent program data entry, and active involvement in the Virginia Quality Birth to Five (VQB5) initiatives. Key responsibilities also include the management and entry of data into the Mixed Delivery portal, as well as timely submission of program and expenditure reports related to Mixed Delivery activities.

Under the supervision of the Program Administrator I, this role plays an essential part in program administration, fiscal management, compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, and collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness. This position requires adept skills in planning, coordinating, and providing training and technical assistance to child care programs within a diverse and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of current early childhood development theories and best practices, demonstrate strong leadership abilities, and have the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively to foster partnerships and ensure compliance with grant objectives.
