Job Requirements
- bachelors degree required
- 3 to 5 years experience in meeting planning or hospitality industry
- excellent knowledge of event planning, meeting room space management, menu planning and banquet standards
- strong computer, interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to manage employees in an event setting
- guide guests and manage crowd control
- working knowledge of room setups and safety requirements
- ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time

Job Duties
- plan and execute logistics for events, conferences, and meetings from conception to completion
- manage sales and contract negotiations
- select food and beverage options
- arrange room layouts and audio visual services
- provide event and meeting planning services and advice to clients
- manage project budgets including invoicing and payment processing
- coordinate with service departments to meet clients needs
- manage employees and guests during events
- organize client meetings and manage event timelines
- select and negotiate with vendors for entertainment, catering, audiovisual, décor, and floral services
