Job Requirements

  • bachelors degree required
  • 3 to 5 years experience in meeting planning or hospitality industry
  • excellent knowledge of event planning, meeting room space management, menu planning and banquet standards
  • strong computer, interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to manage employees in an event setting
  • guide guests and manage crowd control
  • working knowledge of room setups and safety requirements
  • ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • plan and execute logistics for events, conferences, and meetings from conception to completion
  • manage sales and contract negotiations
  • select food and beverage options
  • arrange room layouts and audio visual services
  • provide event and meeting planning services and advice to clients
  • manage project budgets including invoicing and payment processing
  • coordinate with service departments to meet clients needs
  • manage employees and guests during events
  • organize client meetings and manage event timelines
  • select and negotiate with vendors for entertainment, catering, audiovisual, décor, and floral services
