Job Description
The hiring company operates in the manufacturing sector, specializing in the production of high-quality doors. As a reputable establishment in the woodworking and construction industry, the company prioritizes precision, quality, and safety in all aspects of its operations. Their facility functions as a dynamic production environment where skilled tradespeople assemble parts and sub-assemblies to create finished door products that meet specific quality standards. The workplace combines hands-on craftmanship with the use of power tools and adherence to strict production processes. The company is committed to providing a safe, efficient, and supportive workplace for its employees, fostering a team-oriented culture with clear expectations and career development opportunities.
This position focuses on performing operational tasks necessary to produce door assemblies. The role involves assembling various parts and sub-assemblies using both hand and power tools while adapting to different workstations as product requirements change. Employees in this role must carefully plan and implement assembly processes by reading and understanding set-up sheets and work orders. Critical to the position is the ability to ensure that all assembled components meet precise quality and specification standards through accurate measuring, marking, and inspection for defects or damages. Safety is also a top priority; this includes strict adherence to safety procedures to prevent injury to oneself or coworkers. This role demands physical capabilities such as lifting, reaching, and performing repetitive hand movements within a sometimes challenging warehouse setting, which may expose workers to temperature fluctuations, hazardous chemicals, noise, dust, and mechanical parts.
The successful candidate will have a background in construction or woodworking environments, comfortable with a variety of hand and power tools including saws, staples, and nail guns. Experience using tape measures and a strong attention to detail are essential. Strong communication skills are required to follow and comprehend instructions presented in written, oral, or diagram form. The company values individuals who can work effectively both independently and collaboratively to meet production goals while maintaining regular attendance and flexibility with work hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime. Furthermore, the company supports ongoing training and continuing education to help employees enhance their skills and advance their careers. Overall, this is a physically demanding but rewarding role ideal for hands-on individuals motivated by quality craftsmanship in a structured, safety-conscious work environment.
