Job Description

The Air National Guard is a distinguished branch of the United States military that uniquely combines the opportunity to serve your country with the flexibility to maintain a full-time civilian career. With a focus on offering both full-time and part-time positions, the Air National Guard allows individuals to contribute to national defense while balancing their personal and professional lives. Serving in the Air National Guard means becoming part of a community committed to excellence, leadership, and technical expertise, with access to rigorous training programs and career development opportunities that enhance both military and civilian career trajectories.

The Cryptologic Language Analyst and Reporter (1N4X2) role is a critical component of the United States Air Force intelligence operations. These highly skilled professionals are responsible for acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting vital intelligence information to support key decision-makers and military commanders. The position demands a deep understanding of language and cryptologic principles to ensure all collected data is accurately assessed and effectively communicated. Analysts provide essential force protection advisories and help evaluate various intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations, enabling thorough situational awareness and strategic decision-making.

In this role, Cryptologic Language Analysts and Reporters study, correlate, and integrate intelligence from multiple sources to serve both operational and strategic clients. Their expertise helps establish comprehensive all-source intelligence reports, situation estimates, and order-of-battle assessments, which are crucial to mission success. This position requires strict adherence to security protocols, including maintaining a Top Secret clearance, and involves continuous learning and adaptability to emerging intelligence challenges.

The role is a full-time active-duty position within the Air National Guard, offering a competitive starting salary from $50,000 per year. The job involves assignments that can include extensive travel and deployment opportunities, enhancing your professional experience and broadening your global perspective. You will undergo exceptional technical training and leadership development, empowering you with skills that are highly valuable within and beyond military service.
