Job Description

The United States Air Force is a premier military organization dedicated to maintaining air superiority and providing defense capabilities worldwide. The Air Force's mission is to fly, fight, and win—airpower anytime, anywhere. With a diverse range of career paths, including healthcare, engineering, aviation, and special operations, the Air Force is committed to developing skilled professionals who embody its core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all they do. As part of the U.S. military, the Air Force offers comprehensive training, advanced technology, and unique opportunities for personal and professional growth in a disciplined and supportive environment.

One of the most critical and demanding roles within the Air Force Special Operations is that of the Combat Control (CCT) specialist. This position requires an exceptional combination of physical fitness, technical knowledge, and courageous spirit to execute some of the toughest missions under challenging conditions. Combat Controllers are trained to provide command and control and to direct air traffic from remote and often hostile environments. Their expertise spans several high-skill areas, including scuba diving, parachuting, and snowmobiling, enabling them to operate in diverse terrains and climates worldwide. Additionally, they are FAA-certified air traffic controllers, capable of establishing control and delivering combat support to joint operations across the globe.

As a Combat Control specialist, you will be at the forefront of combat operations, ensuring safe and effective air traffic management in high-risk situations. This role involves integrating air and ground forces, coordinating close air support, and facilitating rapid deployment and extraction of personnel. The position offers rigorous training and hands-on experience that sharpen your tactical, communication, and survival skills. You will work alongside elite military personnel who share a commitment to excellence and the successful completion of strategic missions.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary starting from $57,088.25 per year, with work locations that often entail traveling or being stationed in various operational environments. Employment with the Air Force also includes a comprehensive benefits package unmatched in the civilian sector, including paid vacation, health and housing assistance, retirement plans, and exceptional travel opportunities. Joining the Air Force means becoming part of a community dedicated to protecting the country and making a global impact through superior airpower and special operations capabilities.
