The Housekeeper position at Crothall Healthcare is a full-time opportunity located at Brookwood Medical in Birmingham, Alabama. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a clean and orderly environment within healthcare facilities, contributing significantly to the comfort and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. The schedule for this position is from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the possibility of varying days and further details provided upon interview. The pay rate is a fixed $12.00 per hour.

In this role, the housekeeper will perform light cleaning duties to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in hospitals and similar establishments. Responsibilities include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, and ensuring floors are swept, scrubbed, mopped, polished, and vacuumed. The position involves attention to detail and a commitment to quality customer service, ensuring all areas are pristine and welcoming. Additional duties include shampooing carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, cleaning metal fixtures, emptying and sanitizing trash containers, wiping glass surfaces, realigning furniture, and promptly responding to housekeeping inquiries and issues.

Job Duties

  • Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail

  • cleans metal fixtures and fittings

  • makes up beds and changes linens as required
  • realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • responds to guest queries and requests
  • responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
