The current opportunity is for the role of a Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher based at the Akros Middle School campus in Akron, Ohio. This is a full-time position focused on delivering high-quality, standards-aligned ELA instruction to middle school students while embodying the institution's mission and values. The role also requires maintaining high academic standards alongside a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, teamwork, and safety. Communication and engagement with families to support student progress and participation in school-wide activities and professional development are essential aspects of the position.

Performance Academies offers its staff a comprehensive compensation package emphasizing health, wellness, and livelihood. Employees benefit from medical, dental, and vision insurance starting from day one of employment, along with company-paid basic life and disability insurance coverage. Additional voluntary insurance options, participation in STRS retirement plans, multiple holidays, PTO, and personal days are provided. The institution also offers competitive salaries with annual cost-of-living adjustments and the opportunity for performance bonuses based on enrollment and academic results.

Performance Academies prides itself on its supportive leadership that provides coaching, collaboration, and prompt assistance to help teachers excel. Its smaller class sizes ensure personalized attention, enabling educators to ensure no student falls behind.
