Job Description

Hilton Milwaukee, located downtown and connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, stands as Milwaukee's largest hotel and a landmark with over 700 guest rooms and more than 34,000 square feet of event space. Originally opened in 1927 as the Schroeder Hotel, it has evolved into a premier destination for travelers and events in the city. This historic and vibrant hotel exemplifies luxury and exceptional service, hosting thousands of guests, associates, and visitors each year. Part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation, Hilton Milwaukee benefits from a 60-year legacy of operational excellence and guest satisfaction across a portfolio recognized for unique character and style.

The role of Lead Housekeeper at Hilton Milwaukee is a pivotal position essential to maintaining the high standards the hotel is known for. This leadership role supports management by training and supervising Room Attendants and Housekeepers to ensure that all guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are immaculate, safe, and welcoming. The Lead Housekeeper ensures all designated guestrooms receive thorough service, regularly inspects rooms, and evaluates housekeeping performance to uphold superior cleanliness and orderliness throughout the property. Key responsibilities include maintaining furniture and equipment, reporting any defects, and ensuring repairs are expedited to preserve the hotel's quality.

The Lead Housekeeper is entrusted with training associates on job duties and quality standards, promoting teamwork, and providing clear direction to staff. This individual also steps in to cover temporary staff shortages, ensuring uninterrupted service and guest satisfaction. By fostering excellent rapport between guests and associates through prompt, courteous responses to requests and issues, the Lead Housekeeper directly contributes to memorable guest experiences. The role encourages innovative problem-solving and welcomes suggestions for continuous improvement. With a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, this position demands physical stamina to perform manual tasks and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a respected hospitality team committed to excellence and guest satisfaction. Benefits include meals during shifts, discounts at Marcus and Hilton properties, free parking, and access to various recreational and dining discounts. Employees have the opportunity for career growth with the ability to transfer across properties within the company and enjoy early wage access, paid time off, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance after a probationary period. Hilton Milwaukee embraces diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive environment for all associates to thrive in their hospitality careers.
