Job Description

We are a Michelin-starred kitchen renowned for our exceptional culinary artistry and dedication to excellence as recognized by the prestigious Michelin Guide. Our establishment prides itself on delivering an extraordinary fine dining experience that combines innovative techniques, highest quality ingredients, and a passion for culinary mastery. Our team is committed to fostering a collaborative environment where creativity and precision drive every aspect of meal preparation and service. As a beacon for food enthusiasts and connoisseurs, our restaurant is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, service execution, and gastronomic innovation, consistently earning acclaim within the culinary community and beyond.

We are currently seeking a hungry, passionate, and hard-working PM Sous Chef to join our elite team. This key leadership role within our kitchen involves working closely with senior leadership and the Chef de Cuisine to ensure seamless daily operations, production, and service execution. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in high-end kitchens, preferably with Michelin-starred establishments, coupled with strong leadership capabilities and an unwavering commitment to quality and excellence.

This role offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off encompassing vacation, sick days, and holidays, commuter benefits, and access to our employee dining program. Additionally, we provide professional development and training opportunities alongside potential performance-based bonuses to reward dedication and contribution.

The PM Sous Chef will be deeply involved in guiding and mentoring junior kitchen staff, upholding kitchen culture and standards, and ensuring consistent production of refined dishes utilizing advanced cooking techniques and professional kitchen equipment. A strong background in butchery skills—particularly whole animal and heritage protein breakdown—is highly valued. The candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills including efficient inventory management, storage systems, and ordering processes, along with a California Food Handler's certification; a manager certification will be considered a plus.

Beyond operational expertise, we seek a motivated individual with strong communication skills capable of bridging the back of house (BOH) and front of house (FOH) teams, contributing positively to the overall guest experience, and handling key leadership responsibilities during peak service hours and closing. Experience supporting private events and elevated service execution is advantageous, alongside a genuine passion to grow within a fine dining environment and help cultivate a high-performance culinary team committed to continuous improvement and exceptional standards.
