This position requires flexibility as shifts may vary and include evenings, weekends, public holidays, and occasionally night shifts to ensure the property is maintained around the clock. The maintenance technician is essential to the upkeep and smooth functioning of the hotel's facilities, responding promptly to repair needs and assisting in various construction and maintenance tasks.
This job demands physical activity including carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects ranging between 100 to 300 pounds. Continuous movement such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling is also required to navigate and service the entire property. Candidates must demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude in maintaining safety standards and supporting a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment for guests.
The successful candidate will have advanced vocational training along with at least two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional certification or licensing is required if mandated by law. IHG values team members who care about their work, notice minute details that enhance guest satisfaction, and continually seek improvement opportunities. Compensation for this role ranges from $52,960 to $66,200 depending on several factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Along with competitive pay, IHG offers benefits such as paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans, and employee discounts on rooms.
