Job Description
Nordstrom, a leading fashion specialty retailer renowned for its commitment to exceptional customer service, is seeking a dedicated Manager to join our dynamic team. With decades of industry presence, Nordstrom operates both physical locations and an online platform, catering to a diverse clientele with a wide range of apparel, shoes, accessories, and beauty products. Our brand is synonymous with quality, style, and an outstanding shopping experience, making us a top choice for customers in the retail fashion sector.
This managerial position offers a unique opportunity to play a dual role as both an empowering leader and an expert educator within one of Nordstrom's upscale dining units. As a Manager, you will undergo a comprehensive Manager in Training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully operate a high-performing unit. Your role will encompass hiring, training, managing, and motivating a team of professionals dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will actively support the success of your unit by maintaining high customer satisfaction, adhering strictly to company procedures, and effectively balancing productivity with cost management.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $57,000 to $91,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and location within Nordstrom's network. Employees in this role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and bonuses. Nordstrom values its employees highly, offering a range of benefits such as 401k retirement plans, comprehensive medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance options, paid time off, and holiday benefits. We are committed to fostering a work environment that supports career growth, with opportunities to advance within our fast-paced food and beverage operations.
The ideal candidate should possess solid written and verbal communication skills, basic accounting proficiency, and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational demands. Candidates with ambitions for growth in the food and beverage industry including the upscale restaurant management sector are encouraged to apply. A valid food handler's card is required where mandated by local and state regulations, as well as at least two years of full-service, upscale restaurant management experience.
At Nordstrom, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive workplace. We abide by legal requirements concerning background checks and equal opportunity employment, ensuring fair consideration for all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in locations like Los Angeles and San Francisco. Additionally, we provide accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
Joining Nordstrom as a Manager offers not only a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits but also the chance to be part of a reputable company known for its exceptional service and commitment to employee well-being. If you are passionate about leadership, operational excellence, and delivering memorable customer experiences, this role is an excellent fit for you.
