Transdev is currently seeking an experienced Bus Driver to join its elite team in Roseville, MN, through Metro Mobility. This full-time position is subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement and offers a competitive hourly wage of $24.80. The role involves the critical responsibility of ensuring passengers are transported safely and comfortably while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and customer service. This position requires adherence to strict safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory standards.
As a Bus Driver at Transdev, you will be responsible for executing flawless operations by following designated routes and schedules meticulously. Your role includes assisting passengers during boarding and disembarkation, ensuring their ride is smooth and comfortable. You will also play a vital role in vehicle safety by performing comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly, and keeping safety equipment and the vehicle clean and ready for operation.
Safety and compliance are paramount in this role. You will be expected to enforce seat belt use, be prepared for emergency situations, and comply with all regulatory mandates. The company values a drug-free workplace; therefore, candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination and comply with DOT regulations that prohibit the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis.
Working conditions include a combination of indoor and outdoor environments, and the job may involve long periods of sitting. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts including day, evening, and weekends as assigned. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of personal or professional driving experience
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to comply with all federal and state transportation regulations
- Ability to perform physical tasks including long periods of sitting
- Must work in indoor and outdoor environments
- Compliance with a drug-free workplace policy
Job Qualifications
- Be 21 years or older
- Have minimum 3 years of driving experience
- Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
- Be available to work day, evening, and weekend shifts
- Able to pass DOT drug testing and physical examination
- Comply with DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40
- Have eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
