The company prides itself on not only offering a vast inventory but also providing expert advice and personalized service to enthusiasts and casual buyers alike. With a commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and community engagement, Total Wine & More has established itself as a trusted destination for beverage connoisseurs and everyday shoppers. This is reinforced by continuous investment in employee training, career development, and customer service excellence.
The position of Store Team Member, also referred to internally as Merchandiser, plays a vital role in supporting the overall operations and success of each store. This role is fundamental in maintaining the brand’s reputation by ensuring that customers receive excellent service and a seamless shopping experience. Employed in either part-time or full-time capacities, team members primarily focus on merchandising duties but may be assigned additional responsibilities such as sales support, front-end assistance, or delivery services as needed. The role requires active collaboration with the store management team and other staff to maintain product inventory, keep the sales floor organized, and support digital business operations including online order fulfillment and curbside services.
Store Team Members maximize product inventory by handling freight processing, organizing inventory, stocking merchandise, building attractive displays and end caps, placing signage, and supporting online order deliveries when assigned. They help create a welcoming environment by greeting customers, engaging with them to build relationships, and sharing product knowledge, often enhanced through participation in specialized training focused on wines, spirits, and beer. Additionally, team members are responsible for upholding store safety and cleanliness standards, complying with all legal regulations related to the sale of alcohol, and contributing to a compliant and safe store environment. This role demands physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, with responsibilities potentially including safely loading and delivering orders in accordance with all safety laws.
Compensation for this role is competitive and varies based on factors such as geographic location, knowledge, skills, and experience, always meeting or exceeding legal minimum wage requirements. Total Wine & More emphasizes equal employment opportunities, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds and providing reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process. The company offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program designed to support employee well-being, including paid time off, extensive health care plans, and various insurance options. With a culture that values its team members as its greatest asset, Total Wine & More supports ongoing career growth through development programs and product training, ensuring employees have the tools needed to thrive in their roles and contribute meaningfully to the company’s success.
