The role of a Store Team Member, referred to internally as a Merchandiser, is pivotal in enhancing the brand’s reputation by providing excellent customer service and supporting everyday store operations. This position involves maximizing product inventory through processing freight, organizing and distributing merchandise, building visually appealing displays, and placing signage to highlight store promotions and special offers. Additionally, the role supports digital business operations by fulfilling online orders, assisting with curbside and in-store pickups, and potentially delivering products to customers. This cross-functional responsibility requires adaptability and a commitment to safety, compliance, and outstanding service.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience 1 or more years in retail preferred
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to walk bend down repeatedly and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day
  • Ability to safely lift load and handle cases and pallets
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds overhead repeatedly
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience with 1 or more years in a retail setting preferred
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and handle cases and pallets safely
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Knowledge of alcohol product categories is a plus

Job Duties

  • Maximize product inventory including processing freight organizing and distributing inventory pulling and stocking merchandise building displays and end caps placing signage supporting digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store curbside pick-up and delivery services including driving and making deliveries if assigned
  • Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers engaging to build relationships and informing about products and services
  • Participate in wine spirits and beer training to build product knowledge
  • Maintain knowledge of advertisements promotions and loyalty programs
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment
  • Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned
  • Load and deliver orders in a safe and professional manner following company policies and procedures and abiding by all traffic and safety laws if delivery is added as an essential job function
