The role of Merchandiser at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a part-time position based in the Madison, WI area. This position is vital in maintaining product availability and presentation in local grocery stores and accounts. A Merchandiser is responsible for stocking and merchandising fresh bakery products such as breads, English muffins, bagels, cakes, and donuts on store shelves and displays to ensure that the end consumer always finds fresh and appealing products. Merchandisers help keep the bakery aisle well-stocked and appealing, which directly supports sales growth and customer satisfaction at the retail level. The position offers a competitive starting pay of $18.39 per hour and involves working Sunday and Wednesday shifts from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In this role, Merchandisers also manage back-room inventory to keep it organized and clean, ensuring that stock is efficiently replenished and rotated according to color code to maintain freshness. Merchandisers must also possess a strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward maintaining clean and well-presented displays, contributing to the positive customer experience. Successful candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation to travel between store locations. Additionally, the role requires physical capability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. In some cases, Merchandisers may be required to operate a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated route truck, which includes meeting additional requirements such as being 21 years or older, possessing a medical card, and passing a road test.
