The Merchandiser position at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a part-time role servicing the Winterset, IA, Chariton, IA, and Osceola, IA areas. This role is essential in maintaining product availability in local grocery stores and accounts by ensuring shelves and displays are well-stocked with fresh bakery items. Working an average of 32 hours per week with shifts on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, merchandisers play a key role in merchandising some of the country’s favorite bakery brands. Starting pay for this position is competitive at $18.00 per hour, with the opportunity to enjoy a balanced schedule allowing for free time outside of work hours. Utilizing attention to detail, merchandisers keep bread aisles attractive, clean, and organized which enhances the in-store customer experience. The role also involves maintaining back-room product inventory and rotating products according to color codes to ensure freshness.

Ideal candidates will be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and have reliable transportation to meet the requirements of servicing stores in the assigned territory. Ability to lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds is necessary due to the physical nature of the job. Some positions may require driving a DOT regulated route truck, in which case candidates must be at least 21 years old and meet all Department of Transportation requirements, including having a medical card and passing a road test.
