The role of Merchandiser at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a part-time position based in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that bakery products are well-stocked and attractively displayed in local grocery stores and accounts. The Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining product availability on shelves and displays, which directly impacts the shopper's experience and the company's sales performance. With a competitive starting pay of $18 per hour and scheduled shifts on Wednesdays and Sundays from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm, this position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work hours.

As a Merchandiser, you will be entrusted with the task of organizing and replenishing bread aisle shelves and displays to keep them looking appealing and fully stocked. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of back-room product inventory is a key part of the job, ensuring that products are rotated properly according to color codes to maintain freshness and quality. The position requires the physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, highlighting the hands-on nature of the job. In addition, some locations may require Merchandisers to drive DOT-regulated route trucks, demanding adherence to strict DOT requirements, including possessing a Medical Card, passing a Road Test, and meeting the minimum age of 21 for truck operation.
