Job Description

Breakthru Beverage Group is a leading distributor in the beverage alcohol industry, known for its dynamic and family-oriented culture that emphasizes employee development, customer satisfaction, and community engagement. With a robust network of brands under its portfolio, Breakthru Beverage prides itself on delivering high-quality products and superior merchandising solutions to a wide array of retail accounts including restaurants, bars, and specialty stores. As a full-time employer, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package along with competitive hourly wages to provide security and growth opportunities to its workforce. The company fosters an inclusive environment that respects diversity and supports equal opportunities for all employees.

The role of Merchandiser at Breakthru Beverage is integral in visually and strategically promoting the company's extensive range of beverage alcohol products. This position is not just about stocking shelves; it involves creative display building, thoughtful inventory management, and proactive customer engagement. Merchandisers act as the company’s face in the field, cultivating strong relationships with key account holders and providing insightful feedback to the sales teams about market trends, inventory needs, and promotional opportunities. This role suits highly motivated individuals who are eager to work hands-on in a fast-paced, sales-oriented environment and who value a career path with potential for progression within the sales family group.

Merchandisers at Breakthru Beverage are responsible for daily merchandising duties in both new and established accounts. These duties include stocking and rotating shelves to ensure product freshness, constructing eye-catching displays that highlight the brand’s unique value, managing point of sale (POS) material, and assisting with store resets for remodels, grand openings, or seasonal promotions. The role requires physical stamina as it frequently involves lifting heavy products, climbing ladders, and maneuvering through retail settings to ensure optimal product placement and presentation.

Furthermore, this role demands excellent communication and customer service skills to build rapport with account managers and store personnel, identify new brand and category opportunities, and communicate product availability and promotional updates. Merchandisers are expected to continuously enhance their knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits to better serve their accounts and align with the company’s commitment to responsible beverage alcohol handling. Compensation for this position includes a competitive hourly wage of $20, a monthly car allowance of $200, and a company-issued fuel card, along with eligibility for healthcare benefits, life insurance, paid time off, and participation in the company's 401(k) retirement plan. This position supports the company’s broader mission to provide excellent service while fostering a safe and professional work environment.
