The Merchandise Processor position is a key role within the Donated Goods Retail department, reporting directly to the Production Manager. This non-exempt position plays an essential part in the daily operations by supporting the processing of donations that arrive to Goodwill retail stores. The role is focused on sorting, hanging, pricing, tagging, stocking, and rotating merchandise to ensure all products meet production and quality standards before being displayed for sale.
This position requires consistent collaboration with team members and a commitment to achieving preset production and sales goals for the store. The Merchandise Processor also helps maintain the organization and recovery of the sales floor, ensuring inventory is rotated to maximize sales opportunities and product visibility. They are expected to communicate effectively with management regarding daily production progress and any concerns that arise.

Job Requirements
- No formal education necessary
- Ability to read write and perform simple math
- Ability to work in open warehouse environment exposed to various weather and temperature conditions including extreme heat humidity and cold
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from ground to waist level
- Ability to lift 25 pounds every few minutes for more than 75% of shift
- Ability to push and pull carts requiring 25 pounds of force for 100 feet
- Ability to stand continuously for more than 75% of shift
- Ability to bend forward or to the side 60 degrees for 50% of shift
- Ability to stand with neck bent forward 30 degrees for more than 75% of shift
- Ability to repetitively perform hand wrist and arm motions every few seconds for more than 75% of shift
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Duties
- Process textile donations including sorting hanging pricing tagging and moving product to sales floor to meet production and sales goals
- Process donations of housewares electronics media shoes and other items including sorting pricing tagging and moving product to sales floor to meet production and sales goals
- Organize recover and rotate the sales floor as needed
- Follow all quality and production standards set by Goodwill Keystone Area
- Track production daily and report to supervisor
- Be knowledgeable of daily weekly and monthly production and sales goals
- Select and identify appropriate items for Ecommerce department
- Assist and have flexibility in overall daily operations within the store
- Ensure quality customer service is provided in a timely courteous manner to customers donors and employees
- Support promote and participate in organizational programs and special events
- Assist in other assignments designated by management
- Adhere to all Goodwill Keystone Area manuals handbooks policies and procedures
- Promote workplace safety and ensure duties are performed safely
- Communicate progress problems and concerns to Production Manager
