The role of a Store Manager at Five Below is essential to maintaining the store’s vibrant environment and operational effectiveness. This is an hourly position starting at $21.60 per hour, with compensation potentially varying based on experience, location, and individual qualifications. Store Managers are integral to executing corporate strategies by overseeing merchandising, sales, staff performance, and customer interactions.

In this position, you will manage essential daily operations including the receiving and unpacking of merchandise, ensuring proper stock placement on the sales floor, and maintaining visually appealing product displays according to corporate guidelines. You will also be responsible for the smooth operation of opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and security measures. Acting as Manager on Duty, the role demands strong leadership skills to manage store associates, resolve urgent issues, and deliver exemplary customer service.

Additionally, as a leader, you will support team development by onboarding new associates and providing ongoing training to maintain high standards of performance and product knowledge. Driving sales and controlling expenses require a keen eye for merchandising optimization and the ability to inspire and motivate your team. Adhering to Five Below’s Inventory Integrity process ensures proper stock accounting and availability.

Physical demands include regular operation of the cash register, handling merchandise up to 25 pounds, ascending and descending ladders, and spending extended time on your feet. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight or travel when necessary.
