With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, Mortenson delivers high-quality construction projects that positively impact the built environment. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative work culture that values diversity and creativity, ensuring employees and clients alike benefit from a unique and inclusive environment. Mortenson's mission centers on Redefining Possible®, a testament to their dedication to pushing boundaries and achieving outstanding results.

This opportunity is for an MEP Superintendent position located primarily in Lincoln, NE, with additional openings in Omaha, NE, and Cedar Rapids, IA. This role is available at two levels—MEP Superintendent I and MEP Superintendent II—allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation varies accordingly, reflecting industry standards and regional differences. The MEP Superintendent will play a crucial role in managing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects, particularly within complex data center environments.

As an MEP Superintendent at Mortenson, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and resolving field coordination issues alongside project team members. This role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Flexibility, inventiveness, dedication, and a high degree of integrity and confidentiality are essential to succeed in this dynamic position.

The superintendent will oversee coordination, planning, and supervision of MEP scopes of work, ensuring projects align with overall schedules and customer expectations. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through superior service delivery will be a key responsibility. You will ensure that materials, equipment, and inspections are strategically planned and implemented to support project timelines. Additionally, reviewing construction and contract documents for completeness, constructability, and accuracy forms an important part of the job. Collaboration with design engineers, project partner superintendents, and other stakeholders will be crucial to resolve discrepancies and synchronize plans and specifications.

Management of project schedules, including the development of three- and six-week look-ahead schedules, along with the creation of site logistics plans, will enhance the efficiency and success of construction operations. The superintendent is also responsible for managing Mortenson’s tools and equipment utilization to maintain productivity and safety standards.

Mortenson offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including medical and prescription drug plans with no-cost vision coverage, dental insurance, 401k retirement plan with a generous employer match, paid time off, holidays, employer-paid life, AD&D and disability insurance, mental health tools, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, and a gym membership discount program.

The company promotes equal employment opportunity and values the unique perspectives that diversity brings. Mortenson is committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where all individuals can thrive regardless of race, religion, gender, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, marital status, or other legally protected categories. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Overall, this role offers an exceptional chance to join a top-tier organization renowned for its innovation and quality in the construction industry. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that positively affect communities, leveraging their skills and expertise to drive project success within a supportive and progressive work environment.
