The role offered is for a licensed mental health practitioner specializing in pediatric and adolescent psychotherapy within this highly respected children's healthcare network. This position involves providing high-quality psychotherapy and educational services to children, families, and adults, working independently to diagnose and treat patients in behavioral health specialties. The successful candidate will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and document patient progress meticulously to ensure all interventions align with patient needs. Mental health services are delivered both in outpatient clinic settings and on-call in hospital environments, requiring flexibility and readiness to respond promptly to urgent cases. This role emphasizes strong collaboration, as the practitioner will establish and maintain professional relationships with hospital staff, physicians, community agencies, and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive care coordination.

Beyond direct patient care, this practitioner will contribute to community outreach and professional development by delivering presentations, participating in media interviews, and engaging in hospital or community committees to elevate the hospital's visibility and reputation in pediatric mental health. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field and possess or be eligible for independent mental health practitioner licensure in Nebraska. Additional qualifications include current Basic Life Support certification and a required Safety-Care Specialist certification.
