The Henry Senior Living, a part of Arrow Senior Living, is currently seeking a dedicated part-time Memory Care Homemaker for their Ballwin, Missouri location. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors living with memory care needs. The position offers a competitive starting wage ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with shifts scheduled Sundays and Mondays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

As a Memory Care Homemaker at The Henry Senior Living, you will play an essential role in creating a warm, inviting, and homelike environment in the memory care neighborhood. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of residents’ apartments and community areas, preparing and serving family-style meals, and encouraging residents to actively participate in their dining experience. You will also guide residents through snack times and hydration to ensure their comfort and wellbeing throughout the day.

Moreover, you will act as a caring connector, engaging with residents to provide meaningful experiences and emotional support. This role requires a compassionate, energetic, and patient individual who enjoys working with seniors and values the importance of relationship-building. Physical activity is necessary as tasks involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and assisting residents with mobility when needed, including after a fall.

Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Be professional in appearance and conduct
  • Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at 8th-grade proficiency
  • Have a positive and energetic attitude
  • Be physically active including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and assisting after a fall
  • Be criminally cleared

Job Duties

  • Create a homelike, inviting, comfortable, and tidy atmosphere in memory care apartments and common areas
  • Prepare and serve family-style dining in the dining room, guiding residents in meal participation and cleanup
  • Ensure residents receive snacks and hydration three times a day
  • Engage residents in meaningful experiences and provide extra support in the neighborhood
  • Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and post-fall recovery when needed
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
  • Support a positive and energetic attitude toward residents
