The role of Memory Care Homemaker at Ridgemere Senior Living located in Conway, Arkansas is a part-time position offering a starting wage of $16.00 per hour. This role is integral in maintaining a comforting and homelike environment specifically for residents living with memory care needs. The Memory Care Homemaker is responsible for creating and sustaining an inviting atmosphere in memory care neighborhoods by ensuring apartments and common areas are tidy, comfortable, and resemble a home setting. Key responsibilities include preparing and serving family-style meals that encourage resident participation, guiding residents to snacks and hydration multiple times daily, and engaging residents with meaningful experiences that foster social connections and mental stimulation.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate professionalism in appearance and conduct. The role requires physical activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds. In addition, the Memory Care Homemaker will assist residents with mobility and safety needs, including helping individuals after falls. Fluency in English at an eighth-grade proficiency or higher is essential for clear communication with residents. Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at minimum eighth-grade proficiency
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and fall recovery
- Must be criminally cleared
