Job Description
Prestige Estates Assisted Living & Memory Care is a family-owned and operated senior living community located in Tyler, Texas. Since 2007, Prestige Estates has established itself as a trusted provider of compassionate assisted living and specialized memory care services. The community is dedicated to creating a nurturing and engaging environment where seniors, particularly those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, experience purpose, connection, laughter, and meaningful moments. As the only privately owned and operated assisted living and memory care community in the area, Prestige Estates maintains the freedom to innovate and tailor personalized care programs that emphasize dignity, respect, and individuality.
The role of Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator at Prestige Estates extends far beyond the routine responsibilities found in typical activity coordinator roles. This is a full-time position with rotating weekends required, reflecting the seven-day-per-week operation of the memory care programming. More than a job, this role is an opportunity to bring joy into the everyday lives of residents by creating moments of happiness and connection through thoughtfully planned activities, events, and personalized engagement.
The Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator will be the heart and soul behind vibrant community life within the memory care neighborhood. This role involves planning and leading a variety of stimulating and therapeutic programs tailored specifically to the needs and abilities of residents with memory impairments. Coordinators will organize themed events such as beach parties, carnivals, talent shows, and gardening activities that foster social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Beyond group activities, coordinators also provide one-on-one support to help residents reconnect with cherished memories through music, art, and sensory experiences. The role demands creativity, enthusiasm, organizational skills, and a genuine passion for working with seniors and individuals facing memory challenges.
In addition to directly engaging residents, the Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, caregiving, therapy, dining services, and leadership to ensure a holistic approach to senior care. The coordinator captures meaningful moments through photography and utilizes technology and social media tools to celebrate resident life and promote community connections. This position requires a proactive and dependable individual who communicates professionally and fosters an inclusive environment that supports dignity, compassion, and respect for every resident.
Prestige Estates values its team members and provides a professional yet warm work culture that encourages personal growth and ongoing training. Employees enjoy consistent schedules, reliable hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement. Joining Prestige Estates means becoming part of a caring family committed to transforming lives through compassionate care and purposeful engagement, making the Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator role an incredibly rewarding career choice for those passionate about senior living and memory care.
