As a reputable senior living community, Carlton focuses deeply on nurturing residents through compassion, kindness, and respect, ensuring they live life to the fullest in a compassionate setting that supports their individual needs. Carlton understands that the heart of their success lies in their employees, fostering an inclusive culture of caring where staff are supported, valued, and provided opportunities to thrive. This culture encourages professional growth via hands-on training, career advancement opportunities, and comprehensive benefits, making it an attractive workplace for those passionate about senior care.
Joining Carlton Senior Living means becoming part of a dedicated team that prioritizes both resident and employee happiness. The organization offers various benefits aimed at employee well-being including annual raises, anniversary bonuses, immediate pay, fitness and education reimbursement, complimentary employee meals, holiday pay, sick and vacation time, as well as medical, dental, and vision insurance. These benefits reflect Carlton's commitment to its workforce, creating a positive and sustainable work environment.
The company is currently hiring for the position of Memory Care Lead Server, a vital role that serves as the primary connection between the main kitchen and the memory care dining areas. The position is part-time with a schedule of Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., offering a competitive hourly wage ranging between $17.50 and $18.50. The Memory Care Lead Server is responsible for facilitating the smooth flow of meals from the kitchen to residents, ensuring dietary guidelines and special requirements are met with care and precision.
This role demands reliability and a resident-centered approach to hospitality, as the Lead Server independently manages dining service operations during meal periods. Key responsibilities include plating and serving meals in accordance with care plans, coordinating refreshments, recording food temperatures to maintain safety standards, conducting inventory checks, and assisting with supply management alongside the Dining Room Manager. Adherence to food safety, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance is a critical part of the role.
Moreover, the Lead Server actively applies specialized training such as Positive Approach to Care (PAC) and GEM States training, designed to support residents living with dementia, during meal service. They are also entrusted with protecting residents and staff by following infection control and emergency procedures and acting responsibly in mandated reporting of any suspected abuse or neglect. Through compassionate interaction, the Memory Care Lead Server provides support not only to residents but also to guests, family members, and fellow staff, embodying Carlton’s culture of caring in every aspect of their duties.
Overall, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors in a supportive and growth-oriented workplace that values dedication, compassion, and teamwork.
