Job Description

Brookdale Senior Living is a leading provider of senior living solutions across the United States, renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional care for seniors in a warm and compassionate environment. Recognized by Newsweek in 2024 and 2025 as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity, Brookdale is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture that embraces diversity among its associates and residents alike. As one of the largest operators of senior living communities, the company offers a wide range of services including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, ensuring a continuum of care tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

The company emphasizes the growth and professional development of its team members, providing numerous pathways for career advancement. For example, Clare Bridge Program Assistants have opportunities to advance into roles such as Clare Bridge Program Managers, Resident Programs Coordinators, and Business Office Managers. Brookdale provides a supportive work environment that not only values employee wellbeing but also supports their personal and career growth through targeted training programs and a focus on overall health and wellness.

This particular role, the Clare Bridge Program Assistant, plays a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for residents within the dementia care community. Working under the guidance of the Clare Bridge Program Manager or Coordinator, the Assistant helps lead and implement a calendar of person-centered, dementia-friendly programs specifically tailored to meet the individual needs of each resident. The essence of this position is to create meaningful engagement through purposeful activities that consider each resident’s abilities, habits, historical routines, interests, and preferences, promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.

The Clare Bridge Program Assistant supports the core philosophy of Brookdale’s Resident and Family Engagement by fostering a dementia-friendly structured environment where residents can thrive emotionally, socially, physically, spiritually, intellectually, and purposefully. The role involves organizing various programs aligned with the seven domains of well-being and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as Brookdale’s own standards. This position also plays a key role in communication with families and community members, enhancing understanding and support for the dementia care programs.

Employment with Brookdale offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports both part-time and full-time employees. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans, associate assistance programs, employee discounts, referral programs, and early access to earned wages for hourly staff. Full-time associates may additionally receive paid time off, paid holidays, company-provided life insurance, adoption benefits, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and tuition reimbursement.

At Brookdale, Veterans, transitioning active-duty military personnel, and military spouses are encouraged to apply. The company further supports its associates by advancing fees for naturalization applications to assist those pursuing U.S. citizenship. The role offers not only a competitive base pay that reflects the applicant’s skills and experience but also the chance to work in a vibrant community with opportunities for growth, meaningful work, and contributions to improving the lives of seniors living with dementia.
