We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic Membership Sales Specialist (MSS) to join our team. This role is ideal for a dynamic sales professional who thrives in fast-paced, public environments and enjoys direct, face-to-face interactions. The primary responsibility of the Membership Sales Specialist is to drive new consumer memberships through engaging, event-based sales efforts. This position focuses heavily on community engagement at trade shows, expos, retail partner sites, festivals, fairs, and pop-up locations. The role requires a confident and persuasive approach, capable of explaining membership benefits, pricing, and value propositions to encourage immediate enrollments.

The MSS will serve as a frontline ambassador of the AAA brand, actively engaging with prospective members and effectively promoting the organization's services in high-traffic public venues. Duties include setting up and breaking down promotional booths, meeting and exceeding sales targets, using consultative selling techniques, and generating leads for cross-selling opportunities. The role demands flexibility, as work schedules may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to align with event timings.

This hybrid position allows for remote work but requires employees to report to a designated AAA branch at least once per week. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in off-site locations, embody a high-energy personality, and demonstrate excellent communication and persuasion skills. Candidates will also contribute to local marketing efforts through community outreach and collaborate closely with internal teams to support promotional campaigns and successful event execution.

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in retail, consumer, or event-based sales preferred
  • experience in membership, subscription, wireless, or brand sales a plus
  • valid driver's license and reliable transportation if required for event travel
  • property and casualty insurance license valid in selling state
  • comfort using tablets, mobile devices, or point-of-sale systems

Job Duties
