Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 75%
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage seniors with a warm, gentle disposition
  • Good keyboarding skills
  • Spoken and written fluency in English
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience
  • Experience working with seniors preferred
  • General understanding of Medicare Advantage preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of business-to-business or equivalent management experience preferred
  • Relevant sales experience establishing and maintaining business/vendor partner relationships
  • Experience in telesales with ability to input sales data while communicating with customers
  • Possession of a current valid driver’s license
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools
  • Ability to be flexible, creative and persuasive
  • Good keyboarding skills

Job Duties

  • Nurtures, builds and cultivates direct-to-seniors and business-to-business partnerships to generate new patient opportunities year-round
  • Meets with individual seniors and groups in their homes, workplaces, houses of worship, senior centers or living communities to share the ChenMed value proposition
  • Plans, coordinates and executes local events within the community such as information tables, health fairs, and doc talks to reach medically underserved Medicare-eligible seniors
  • Cultivates strong relationships with health plan agents, insurance agents, social workers, case workers, senior housing managers, senior centers and community providers to maintain ChenMed as the top provider choice
  • Partners with community officials, businesses and senior outreach programs to develop initiatives that drive new patient growth
  • Schedules one-on-one sales meetings and referral relationships with plan agents, independent brokers and the senior community to deliver solutions on immediate customer requests
  • Manages vendors related to event planning and negotiates contracts with event venues
  • Ensures insurance agents and brokers are invited to community events to facilitate timely patient assignment
  • Leverages marketing and sales tools to identify solutions and sell to new customers while maintaining up-to-date client information in CRM tools like SalesForce
  • Provides monthly activity calendars reflecting community access points and new venues
  • Creates penetration plans and initiatives in key target markets and channels
  • Recovers dormant customers via sales and marketing campaigns
  • Drives new member growth by educating potential patients on ChenMed's value proposition and healthcare model
  • Develops all distribution channels to support new patient enrollment growth
  • Partners with sales leadership to improve engagement effectiveness with distributors, vendors and community partners
  • Builds trusting relationships with brokers, insurance agents, case workers, and third-party vendors associated with seniors
  • Engages with new patients through and beyond their first appointment to maintain retention and resolve issues
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
