The Member & Guest Services position at the Y supports the organization’s mission by maintaining a friendly and positive atmosphere for all members and guests. This key role involves responding to member and guest needs, fostering a member-focused culture, and promoting the various programs and memberships offered. Employees working in this role are responsible for ensuring smooth check-in procedures, providing excellent customer service both in person and over the phone, and conducting cause-driven tours for prospective members. The position requires working a minimum of two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts per month, with availability needed for early morning, evening, and weekend shifts. The work environment is dynamic, requiring individuals to be adaptable and maintain a professional demeanor while handling various tasks such as processing payments, enforcing abuse risk management policies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the front desk and lobby.

Job Requirements
- Minimum two weekday shifts per week
- Minimum two weekend shifts per month
- Ability to work early morning, evening, and weekend shifts
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and welcoming attitude
- Commitment to upholding abuse risk management policies
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen, and Blood Borne Pathogen training within 60 days of employment
- Child Abuse Prevention training on or before the first day of work
- Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups from all social and economic segments of the community
- Basic knowledge of computer applications
Job Duties
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
- Complete required abuse risk management training
- Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations
- Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements
- Adhere to job-specific abuse risk management responsibilities
- Ensure check-in procedures are followed
- Provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone with members, guests, and program participants
- Perform in a member-focused culture and communicate with members and guests
- Promote program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members
- Process sales and properly handle cash, check, and credit card payments
- Ensure proper implementation of front desk procedures
- Provide quality cause-driven tours to prospective members
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and the lobby
- Perform other duties as assigned
