Job Description
The University Corporation is a non-profit auxiliary corporation that provides commercial and administrative services to California State University, Northridge (CSUN). As an essential part of the university's infrastructure, it supports the academic, research, and creative efforts of students, faculty, and staff by delivering services and solutions designed to enhance the quality of campus life. Their mission is deeply intertwined with the wellbeing and success of the CSUN community, offering vital operational support that ensures smooth functioning across campus activities and initiatives. The University Corporation is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment, driven by principles of equity and diversity, and strives continuously to optimize its impact throughout the university system.
The position available is for a Membership & Promotions Revenue Coordinator at KCSN, a radio station operated under the University Corporation. This is a full-time auxiliary employment opportunity based in Northridge that offers an anticipated hourly wage of $29.96. The role is perfectly suited for individuals who are keen to blend their skills in media, communications, event coordination, and community engagement within an educational environment. The Membership & Promotions Revenue Coordinator plays a critical role in managing daily membership operations and assisting with promotions to support the station's fundraising and marketing objectives.
In this capacity, the Coordinator will be heavily involved in planning, executing, and fulfilling pledge drives and membership activities, working closely under the direction of station leadership including the Membership Director. Responsibilities extend to managing gifts and premiums, handling donor interactions, staffing phone bank rooms, and building related software and graphics. The Coordinator is vital for ensuring that formal fundraising events operate smoothly, often acting as the second in command during pledge drives.
Beyond membership duties, this role supports the promotions department by helping execute station events and creating creative assets such as graphics for social media, websites, audio spots, and promotional items. The member will assist in event setups, conduct appearances, and facilitate activities from introducing bands to hosting the events, thereby enhancing community outreach and station visibility.
The role also requires technical proficiency with key digital tools like website maintenance, newsletter distribution, and donation pages. The Coordinator will post web banners and assist with the technical execution of promotional materials. Programming support is also within their scope—hosting on-air shows, audio production for spots, and curating radio content as directed.
Successful candidates will bring at least two years of experience working in radio or a similar media platform, a good understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads, and TikTok, and familiarity with broadcast equipment, Google Ad Manager, and Mailchimp. The job is a dynamic blend of marketing, technical, and broadcasting duties that requires creativity, detail orientation, and the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
The University Corporation values equality and prohibits discrimination against applicants or employees based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, gender, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, genetic information, medical condition, marital status, veteran status, or disability. This position includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 403(b) retirement contributions, life insurance, AD&D, and flexible spending accounts, ensuring employees are well-supported while performing their duties.
Candidates will undergo a thorough background check as part of the recruitment process. The application screening begins August 3, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to enhance their careers in media, promotions, and membership coordination within a prestigious university-affiliated organization.
