The Financial Wellness team at American Airlines plays a crucial role in enhancing employee support and engagement through financial education and wellness programs. As a key member of this team, you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding member service while coordinating and supporting a variety of initiatives that promote financial literacy and well-being. This role demands a blend of exceptional interpersonal skills, organizational prowess, and a strong commitment to operational excellence.

In this position, you will assist with engaging members through multiple channels including email, phone, and digital platforms, ensuring seamless communication and support. Your responsibilities will span coordinating outreach campaigns, managing appointments with financial counselors, conducting basic credit report and budgeting interviews, and facilitating referrals for financial coaching. Maintaining program dashboards, processing mail, and supporting webinar programs are also vital components of this role, requiring attention to detail and proficiency in various technological tools.

A key aspect of the role is actively testing new technologies, system releases, and digital tools to enhance member engagement and improve operational processes. You will also be expected to maintain and update online educational resources and digital content to keep members informed and empowered. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify trends and recommend process improvements, contributing to the continuous enhancement of financial wellness programs.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • must pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
  • must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified
  • responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information
  • compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous banking or Credit Union experience
  • previous customer service experience
  • proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms and software
  • exceptional member service and relationship building skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • fluency in English
  • bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • self-motivated with continuous improvement mindset

  • ability to analyze basic data and prepare reports
  • ability to maintain satisfactory performance, attendance and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Assist with member engagement across email, phone, and digital platforms
  • coordinates outreach campaigns for financial wellness programs
  • effectively coordinates appointments between members and counselors
  • conducts basic credit report and budgeting interviews with members
  • support financial coaching referrals from frontline employees
  • processes incoming and outgoing mail
  • maintain program dashboards, files and reports
  • identify trends and recommend process improvements
  • tests new technology, system releases and digital tools
  • provides information about Credit Union products and services
  • help maintain online educational resources and digital content
  • supports the webinar program by hosting, presenting, managing attendees, polls, chat and post-event follow-up
  • monitor inventory and place orders for office supplies
  • attend and support credit union sponsored events
  • ensures awareness of all department functions and duties to provide proper support and coverage
  • performs other duties as assigned
