The Member Relations role at JOHN REED is crucial in maintaining the exceptional quality of service that the brand promises to its members and guests. Serving as the first point of contact, this position demands an individual with excellent interpersonal skills who can create a welcoming and seamless experience for everyone entering the club. The role involves greeting members, conducting new member inductions and welcome tours, and assisting with the navigation of the various club areas. An integral part of the job is to support fitness operations by partnering closely with Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors, helping with class setups, managing bookings for spa appointments, pool cabanas, and restaurant reservations, and maintaining the tidiness and orderliness of fitness studios.
Beyond direct member engagement, the Member Relations team handles several administrative responsibilities such as filing contracts, updating contact information, managing phone and email correspondence, and processing payment information. They play an important role in gathering member feedback, monitoring satisfaction levels, and relaying insights back to management to continuously refine and enhance services. This role also requires proactive outreach to members through both warm conversations and cold calls, ensuring account updates and general inquiries are addressed promptly.

Job Duties
- Serve as first point of contact at check-in
- create a welcoming environment reflecting John Reed's hospitality
- stay informed on latest club offerings
- conduct new fitness member inductions and welcome tours
- assist members in navigating club areas
- assist with booking spa appointments, pool cabanas, class bookings, and restaurant reservations
- prepare new member welcome gifts
- discuss all of John Reed's amenities confidently
- reach out via phone or email for account updates, payment info, and inquiries
- perform administrative duties including filing contracts, data entry, telephone and email correspondence, updating member contact details
- monitor member satisfaction and relay feedback to management
- maintain communication with members by being approachable and present on club floors
- partner with Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors on fitness tasks
- complete full fitness studio setup for class formats
- assist with fitness studio resets post class
- assist with setup and breakdown of special events
- attend developmental and team meetings
- perform other tasks as assigned by management
