Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related field
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in hospitality-related field
- 1 year experience in event management or related area
- ability to conduct daily operational walk-throughs
- skills in managing budgets and expenses
- strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area

Job Duties
- Assists in planning and execution of meetings and special events
- assists in implementation of departmental strategies
- oversees seamless turnover from sales to operations and vice versa
- researches and analyzes new products, pricing, and competitor services
- conducts daily banquet floor walk-throughs
- builds and maintains vendor relationships
- creates opportunities to upsell during event planning
- manages department controllable expenses
- fosters an atmosphere that exceeds guest expectations
- responds to and handles guest problems and complaints
- empowers employees to deliver excellent customer service
- sets expectations and parameters for staff
- focuses on continuous service improvement
- emphasizes guest satisfaction during meetings
