Job Requirements
- Must have one to two years of administrative experience
- Previous catering or sales coordinator experience preferred
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Highly organized and creative
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Proficiency in English
- Advanced computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Opera, Delphi FDC, ProposalPath and Cvent preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Leverage strong sales skills to provide substantial customer value and expertly manage events
- Distinguish Balboa Bay Resort from competitors by crafting clear and compelling value propositions for customers and the organizations they represent
- Actively collaborate with Group and Catering Sales, Visit Newport Beach, and Intermediaries to nurture existing customer relationships and secure new business opportunities
- Develop, implement, and communicate a strategic business plan on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis tailored to the designated market
- Maintain a current and active pipeline of potential business opportunities aligned with short-term and long-term objectives
- Serve as the hotel’s representative in all sales interactions including business proposals and contract execution
- Identify potential customers and tailor proposals to gain new and existing clients
- Conduct thorough research and generate fresh leads using database research and proactive sales efforts
- Negotiate contracts ensuring alignment with hotel financial objectives and positive customer relationships
- Oversee seamless event execution by preparing detailed event documentation and coordinating with Resort departments and clients
- Innovate client event solutions from concept to realization, staying current with event management trends
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Manage expenses within client budget, ensure timely receipt of deposits, and maintain accurate final billing
